Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is evaluating PV cleaning robots under hot desert conditions, according to PV Magazine. The assessment considers cleaning performance and safety, not just speed.
For B2B buyers, automated cleaning should be qualified against module compatibility, water consumption, brush or contact effects, reliability, access constraints and worker safety. A field result is useful evidence, but it is not a universal performance guarantee.
Operations teams should compare yield recovery, maintenance intervals and total service cost with the site's dust, heat and layout data before scaling a robotic solution.
