The Poland–Germany Deploy hybrid project gained EU cross-border renewable status, opening a route to Connecting Europe Facility support.

EU Gives Cross-Border Deploy Project Priority Status for 180 MW Solar and Wind

The European Commission granted the Deploy hybrid solar-wind project cross-border renewable energy status. Planned near Gubin, Poland, the integrated plant would combine 180 MW of solar and wind capacity and convert its electricity into heat for industrial offtakers and district heating in Guben, Germany.

The accreditation can make the project eligible for studies and works funding through the Connecting Europe Facility Energy program. Feasibility and design work is underway, with a final investment decision expected by mid-2028, construction planned for January 2029 and commissioning targeted for January 2030. The procurement signal is to prepare cross-border grid, heat-offtake, permitting and bankability packages early; COTECH has no stated relationship with Deploy.
