Form Energy has raised $750 million to scale production of its iron-air batteries, according to Mercom India. The company describes its commercial product as designed for 100-hour storage.
For B2B buyers, the financing is a manufacturing-capacity signal, not proof of a delivered project. Procurement should verify factory ramp timing, bankable performance data, degradation assumptions, warranty coverage and service arrangements for the required duration.
Long-duration storage can change the value of a solar-plus-storage design, but usable energy, dispatch profile, interconnection and safety requirements remain site-specific. Compare those inputs before reserving supply.
