GAIL has issued a tender for a solar-plus-storage project at TUSCO Solar Park in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The procurement combines 600 MW of solar generation with a battery energy storage system.
The storage specification is 275 MW / 550 MWh. GAIL had previously included the project in a disclosed 700 MW solar investment plan covering Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
For procurement teams, the tender is a near-term signal for coordinated EPC, module, inverter, battery-integration and balance-of-plant packages. Bidders should confirm interface scope, performance obligations and delivery sequencing across the PV and storage systems.
