MN8 Energy, Eos Energy Enterprises and Google announced the Mammoth Solar project in West Virginia on September 2, as reported on September 3. The PJM-grid project combines 86 MW of solar, a 10 MW/100 MWh Eos zinc-based long-duration system and a 70 MW/280 MWh lithium-ion battery system.\n\nThe procurement takeaway is a multi-technology operating model: buyers need separate performance, controls, safety, augmentation and warranty assumptions for each storage chemistry, plus a clear dispatch and interconnection model.
