Hawke’s Bay Airport in New Zealand has opened an expression of interest for delivery and co-investment partners for a proposed 12–17 MW solar plant, according to PV Tech. The site is reported to cover 24 hectares northwest of the runways.
An EOI is an early development step, not an EPC award or equipment order. Potential suppliers should qualify aviation constraints, land access, geotechnical conditions, grid connection, glare requirements and the proposed partner model before quoting modules, inverters or mounting systems.
The airport setting makes project-specific approvals and interface coordination central procurement questions. Treat the opportunity as a qualified development lead while commercial scope and delivery dates remain unconfirmed.
