Panamint Capital has broken ground on the 1.2 GWdc Big Rooter solar project in Robertson County, Texas. The project is located at the Twin Oaks power station and is planned as two phases.
The first 491 MWdc phase targets commercial operation in August 2028. A second 658 MWdc phase is expected to start construction in December 2026; the development is reported at $1.7 billion.
For B2B suppliers, this is a staged demand signal for modules, trackers, structures, electrical balance of plant and construction logistics. Qualification should follow confirmed package scopes, schedules and EPC procurement windows.
