SAS and URECO have formed a US-based joint venture to develop a solar-module facility with planned capacity of 1 GW. The partners cite an investment of about $40 million.
SAS will hold 51% of the venture and URECO 49%. The companies say the venture will focus on product traceability and supply-chain transparency for US customers.
For procurement teams, the announcement creates a potential future sourcing route, not an immediate allocation. Buyers should validate commissioning timing, certification, bill of materials, traceability evidence and contractual capacity before relying on it.
