SolarWindow has launched a self-adhesive solar film, according to pv magazine USA. The report describes a product launch, not an independently verified field-performance study.
For façade and retrofit buyers, the key procurement work is qualification: request installation instructions, test reports, fire and weather ratings, electrical integration data, warranty terms and evidence of output under the intended conditions.
The launch may broaden building-integrated PV options, but it does not by itself establish suitability for a specific building envelope. Treat certification, attachment interfaces and long-term durability as prerequisites before specifying the film.
