German manufacturer Solyco has introduced a full-black, glass-glass module series using n-type back-contact cells. The four power classes range from 485 W to 500 W, with the highest-rated model reaching 24.5% efficiency on roughly 2.04 square meters.
Procurement points
The series combines 108 half-cells, a temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C and a 1,500 V maximum system voltage. The supplier lists mechanical-load, hail, fire, salt-mist and ammonia testing, together with 30-year product and linear performance warranties.
For rooftop buyers, the launch reflects a wider shift toward higher power density, back-contact architecture and dual-glass construction. Comparison should still be based on verified certificates, temperature performance, connector configuration, local fire rules and delivered cost per usable watt—not nameplate efficiency alone.
