AMEA Power announced commercial operation for the 24 MWp Ituka Solar PV Project in Uleppi, Uganda’s West Nile region. The project’s 25 MVA, 132/33 kV substation was energised in July, enabling testing and power delivery to the national grid through UETCL. AMEA says the plant is expected to generate about 53,940 MWh annually.
For developers, EPCs and regional distributors, COD creates a reference for utility PV equipment, substation packages, commissioning and operations support in East Africa. The project company is fully owned by AMEA Power; COTECH is not a supplier or partner.
