Solar Module Degradation & Warranties Explained
How to read a PV module warranty — product versus performance cover, what a 30-year linear curve guarantees, what causes degradation, and the exclusions that decide a claim.
Heterojunction high-power series with the lowest temperature coefficient.
Evaluate HJT when cell temperature and a usable rear surface are important to the project. The documented CSHJ72 group uses 144 half-cells and dual glass. Its temperature coefficient is not a guarantee of higher annual output in every installation.
Allow for the 32 kg module and verify tracker or racking compatibility. Model shading, albedo and rear clearance before estimating bifacial gain. The source PDF contains differing year-30 warranty statements; request the signed model warranty rather than relying on the headline.
Send country, application, target model, required power, installation constraints and quantity. Request the current drawing, electrical table, installation instructions and certificate scope. A series summary is not an installation approval.
Figures below apply only to the named models in the linked datasheets, not every product in the family. Confirm the current revision, model-specific certificates and signed warranty before purchase.

How to size PV strings — temperature-corrected Voc for the cold-morning voltage limit, the hot-day MPPT check, current and fuse limits, with worked examples.
A vendor-neutral comparison of the three mainstream N-type module technologies — TOPCon, heterojunction (HJT) and back-contact — covering efficiency, temperature behaviour, bifaciality, cost and where each fits best.
